Family Promise

We have been blessed to become a part of the interfaith community of Forsyth County churches that serves homeless children and their families through Family Promise. Homeless children and their families are identified and come into the Family Promise Program. A safe haven and good food are provided as well as important skill training for the parents. Our church was selected to be one of the first churches on this circuit which began in the fall of 2016 and, as of November 2020, there are a total of 12 local churches that are hosting families. Our church participates by hosting families four times during the year for one week at a time. Training classes for volunteers are provided on a regular basis.

G.O.Y.A

G.O.Y.A. (Greek Orthodox Youth Association), is the ministry to teenagers of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America for the purpose of fellowship, worship, service, and witness.

Retreats and Camps are an integral part of the program. Since G.O.Y.A. is a ministry under the advisement and spiritual guidance of the Proistamenos, the orientation and implementation of the program reflects the Orthodox Christian Faith, Tradition and Life, including a well-rounded program of religious, cultural, athletic and social activities.

Hope & JOY

HOPE (Hellenic Orthodox Primary Education) ministers to Kindergarten through 2nd grade and JOY (Junior Orthodox Youth) ministers to 3rd through 5th grade children of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America.

The mission and goal of the HOPE and JOY ministries is to lead our children in experiencing the Holy Orthodox Faith. By participating in these youth ministries, we allow our young people to deepen their relationship to one another and ultimately to our church and our Lord.
